Jim Rubino Wins Top Dragster!

Buffalo, NY driver wins TD at the Grand Bend Motorplex

Jim Rubino of Buffalo, NY won the IHRA Top Dragster title at the Mopar Canadian Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex in his Mike Bos R.E.D dragster.  The engine is a blown and injected 361 cubic inch small block that Rubino built himself and runs 6:80's in the 1/4 mile.   The RED is a Mike Bos chassis that he has rebuilt and updated through the years.  Rubino started his racing career in the 1970's running a Camaro and then later campaigned several dragsters in the Top Gas class.  His current ride has been victorious at the last couple of events including winning the Quick 32 title a few weeks ago and then this win at Grand Bend.  Next on the schedule is the weekend spectacular at Grand Bend where he will defend his Napa Auto Parts Quick 32 title.
