The Junior Dragster Star, Kassidy Iamele

Kassidy Iamele, daughter of Kenneth Iamele, is a rising star in the Junior Dragster class. Her first race was on May 10th, 2008 where she placed second in class "B". Only earlier in the day was she licensed along with her brother Dakoda. She made two time trials with the first having a light of a .673 and had to lift early. In her second run she ran a .499 red light. A close to almost perfect run for a driver with so few passes under her belt. In the first round of her day she received a bye run when her brother's dragster would not stay lit and would not get out of the burnout box. In the second round she ran against Danny Morris and ran a 12.56 on a 12.55 dial in. She advanced into the finals against Tony Ardilo, who was the class "B" champ for the last two years. She was a bit excited on the line and deep staged causing her to go red off the line. The 1995 home built dragster by John Stassen has won with his daughter and son as well. The Iamele family has another star, Brandon who won the 2007 "track champ" title. Kassidy Iamele turned 10 this May 15th.

DragRacingNews.Net would like to welcome Kassidy to the Drag Racing family and hopefully a follow story of a championship.
